WHM Server & Control Panel Management

Every website ultimately sits on a server someone has to configure, secure and keep running. Learn to administer that server the way hosting providers and agencies actually do — through WHM and cPanel — and finish with NCVT's CWSA certification.

What You're Training On

Someone has to run the server. This program makes that someone you.

Behind every hosted website, email inbox and database sits a Linux server that has to be provisioned, secured, backed up and monitored — and most hosting providers and web agencies manage that through WHM (WebHost Manager) and cPanel, the two most widely deployed hosting control panels in the world.

WHM is the server-level administration layer — where a hosting reseller or system administrator provisions accounts, defines hosting packages, configures DNS zones, and manages security and services for the entire server. cPanel is what sits underneath it, the end-user control panel each individual hosting account gets for managing its own files, email, databases and domains.

This program trains both layers together, because a real server administrator has to think in both directions — from the server room down to the individual client account, and back.

Who This Is For

Aspiring system administrators & hosting technicians
Web developers who want to self-host client sites confidently
Agency owners managing their own server infrastructure
IT support staff responsible for internal hosting
WHM vs. cPanel

Two control layers, one server.

WHM — WebHost Manager

SERVER / RESELLER LEVEL
  • Provisions and manages every hosting account on the server
  • Defines hosting packages, resource limits & reseller privileges
  • Configures DNS zones, mail routing & server-wide services
  • Manages security, firewall rules & server-level backups

cPanel — Account Level

END-USER LEVEL
  • Individual hosting account's own file manager & FTP access
  • Email account creation, webmail & autoresponders
  • MySQL/MariaDB database creation & phpMyAdmin access
  • One-click app installs, SSL and domain/subdomain management
